I currently manage a small cyber defense operations team for a Fortune 500 company. In the past, I have led the Enterprise Security Operations team for a $1B year company that managed all of the security tools in the enterprise; I’ve been a security analyst for a think tank; and I’ve served in compliance and auditing related roles. Prior to my journey into the world of information security, I worked in physical security and served nine years in the Army in a non-IT role.
When I’m not at work, I’m spending time with my family, tinkering in my home lab, or finding ways to improve my work. I volunteer with the local BSides chapter and participate in several security tool related forums.
I started this website in 2020 as a way to learn additional technologies and share my experiences with the community. As an example, this website it sitting in Azure and I wrote this page from scratch. Many of the topics I write about are ones that I found really tough to get information on. I hope this site helps!
